Boosting Outreach with Spotivity
Spotivity is an interactive mobile application that revolutionizes the ways youth engage in afterschool programs in Chicago. Montana Butsch founded the app in 2018 with a mission to empower youth with opportunities that supplement their education. To encourage engagement and self-confidence, Spotivity offers in-app incentives that reward youth for participation and accomplishments.
Spotivity came to Inigo with the goal of executing a variety of new outreach campaigns to increase both brand recognition, engagement and app downloads. Our team designed a social media campaign that would increase brand recognition and engagement. Additionally, we created geofilters to be used within the application and created a link for participants of the giveaway to receive additional entries. To better connect with our audience, we also implemented a new outreach method that involved us directly messaging and commenting on photos from individuals of our target market. In the end, we were able to increase Spotivity’s following by 80%.
Spotivity returned to Inigo for a second semester with a goal of increasing social media engagement on Instagram, Facebook and Twitter and refining his brand’s voice across all three platforms. After meeting with him in January at the beginning of our contract period, we agreed on five main objectives: developing a Social Media Best Practices Guide that identifies target audiences and appropriate stylistic choices, creating social media content calendars across all three platforms, writing a pitch letter to advertise Butsch for public speaking engagements and compiling a list of relevant Chicago organizations to send the pitch letter to. All were intended to increase brand awareness and social media engagement rates by the end of April 2019.
