As the leaves begin to change and the fall semester picks up steam, Inigo Communications’ application and interview season has arrived! If you’re thinking about applying for the Spring 2027 semester, the agency wants to ease any worries and give a few tips and tricks on how to craft the best application.

Highlight What Makes You Special

It’s tough to choose which projects and skills to highlight in your Inigo application. You want to show off your best work while also displaying a variety of skills. Our advice is: choose any project you feel proud of. Whether it’s from a class, an internship, a club or something you came up with all on your own. If you think it’s worth sharing, we would love to see it.

If you don’t have any prior experience in the communications industry, don’t worry! There will be a prompt included in the application for you to showcase your skills so we can get an idea of your strengths as well as any opportunities for growth.

To those who are not a part of the School of Communication, we say: the more the merrier! Inigo prides itself on its diverse set of majors and schools. If you think you bring something unique and important to the table, apply!

Find Your Team, Find Your Fit

We’re lucky to have six unique teams that make up our agency, each designed to contribute to our creative process for our clients and the agency itself. Sometimes, it can be difficult to truly know which team is best for you. On our application, applicants are able to rank Inigo’s teams in the order in which they’re interested, so you have a chance of joining any of them.

Inigo is split into two sections of teams based on who members are  working with. There are our  internal teams, Recruitment and External Communications, who work to strengthen Inigo’s own brand image and find the best possible students for the agency each semester. Our external teams, Account Services, Creative, Media & PR and Strategy, work with Inigo’s clients to create deliverables that execute the vision the Account Executive and client contacts discuss.

As a helpful tip, try and think about what you’re best at. If you’re a strong writer who loves to develop a brand’s voice, look into External Communications or Media & PR. If you consider yourself research and data-driven, you might be a good fit for our Strategy team. If you have a knack for photoshop or photography, consider our Creative team. Our ultimate goal is finding the best talent, as well as finding the team best fit for you and your skills.

Who We’re Looking For

Above all else, Inigo is looking for applicants who believe in themselves and their team. This agency offers a unique experience that mirrors real-life agency work, while working with real-life clients. You’ll be working alongside people who will become some of your closest friends throughout the semester and beyond, forming connections that teach you more about your professional persona than any other class.

As a final note, here’s a piece of advice from each of our C-Suite leaders:

“Just apply! If you have passion, Inigo has a way for you to channel it.” - Eliza Thomas, Chief Communications Officer
“Let your passion shine through, and the rest will follow!” - Gintare Olshanky, Chief Operating Officer
“Our agency motto is Be Brave, Be Bold, Be Blunt and that’s truly all you need. Immerse yourself in our world and get ready to think outside the box.” - Nora Kelly, Chief of Staff
“Inigo is the perfect place to build up your skills for the real world while meeting some of most amazing, creative people Loyola has.” - Cadence Fung, Teaching Assistant
“Those who excel the most in Inigo are students that take initiative and are passionate about gaining real-world experience!” - Katelin Barker, President

Driven, passionate and eager to learn. Do those words describe you? Well, you already know what we’re about to say.

Applications for the Spring 2027 Inigo semester close October 26.
