Orchard Village is a non-profit organization founded in 1972 in Skokie, Illinois. Since its start, Orchard Village has served children and adults who have intellectual disabilities. The programs from which those served can choose include the Homebase Program, Orchard Academy, Day Program Services, Employment Program, Residential Program and a clinical service program. Orchard Village provides a community-integrated environment for its participants, so that they can achieve their personal goals, with the support of the larger community.

Inigo welcomed Orchard Village as a new client this semester. Orchard Village approached the Inigo team with two unique objectives:  

  • Increase Orchard Village’s brand awareness in the broader community, with a specific focus on increasing donations for their mission. 

  • Update social media platforms and provide a roadmap for more strategic marketing and increased engagement.  

The Inigo team worked to align all deliverables with Orchard Village’s objectives—beginning by meeting with Orchard Village’s development team regularly to evaluate deliverables and goals. For the first project, Inigo provided an update to Orchard Village’s social media platforms by designing a content calendar and an assortment of templates for Facebook, Instagram and LinkedIn. The team next conducted a comprehensive brand, website and social media audit. With their goals of increasing donors and engagement in mind, Inigo analyzed several similar brands and delivered actionable suggestions to the Orchard Village team. Lastly, Inigo crafted a press release and updated the Orchard Village media list by compiling a list of local influencers, journalists and writers. These deliverables bolstered the Orchard Village social media presence, boosted its reach in the wider community and positioned the organization for future success.
