The American Heart Association (AHA) is the nation’s oldest and largest organization dedicated to fighting heart disease and stroke. By funding research and educating communities about healthy living habits, AHA strives to see a world free of cardiovascular diseases and stroke. Inigo's worked with the American Heart Association to develop a strategic anti-vaping and tobacco campaign for the Village of Maywood, Ill. Our team focused on the Association and Inigo's three primary goals:   

  • Increase awareness of the dangers of flavored tobacco and vaping amongst Maywood’s teen population.  

  • Create copy and graphics for the launch of AHA’s Instagram campaign.  

  • Gain support from the Maywood city council and mayor to eliminate or strengthen tobacco laws. 

To achieve the AHA’s goals, Inigo developed an Instagram social media content calendar aimed at encouraging teenagers to develop healthy habits. Inigo also created bilingual social media posts, which were aimed to speak directly to Maywood’s Latinx population. The campaign implemented interactive strategies as well, featuring Instagram stories that incorporated the platform’s poll and Q&A stickers. Additionally, our creative team designed an actionable habit tracker that enables users to track their vaping habits and set wellness goals. As a result, AHA has the tools they need to spark awareness and healthy habits in the Maywood Community.
