The American Heart Association (AHA) is the nation’s oldest and largest nonprofit organization committed to fighting heart disease and stroke. As heart disease is the leading cause of death worldwide, the AHA strives to educate individuals about healthy living habits and fund cardiovascular research. Their mission: “To be a relentless force for a world of longer, healthier lives.”

Inigo's collaboration with the American Heart Association focused on their strategic anti-vaping and flavored tobacco campaign for the Village of Maywood, IL. Our team focused on the Association's three primary campaign goals:

  • Educate the Maywood community members on the health risks associated with premature nicotine use.

  • Empower Maywood stakeholders to proactively improve the health of their community.

  • Engage Maywood Village community members to support a local legislative ban on flavored nicotine products.

To bring the AHA’s goals to life, Inigo developed three social media design concepts to appeal to teens and young adults with bright colors, bold graphics and eye-catching visuals, empowering them to understand the risks of premature smoking and tobacco use. In addition to the social media posts, our team designed a one-page infographic explaining the harms of premature smoking, communicating high-level information and in-depth concepts in a digestible manner.
